The Coronado is an awe-inspiring venue - perfectly suited for a brilliant performer like John Prine. It may be the most impressive refurbished theatre I have ever seen. If fans of JP have not heard the music of his opening act for this show - Paul Thorn - they are missing out. I had never heard of him before he took the stage. Thorn had us from the start with his self-effacing opening remarks-made in his sweet southern drawl-to the opening chords of "I Have a Good Day". You gotta check out Paul Thorn! As for John Prine, he is a national treasure, and his performance stood as testament. When I think of American music, I think of Johnny Cash... and John Prine. On this nite John Prine delivered in spades.

Great Show! Best setlist of the 4 times I have seen John, good mix of old and new songs. John played several of my favorites that I have not heard live before. He played for 2 and a half hours.
