Goodbye Peoria - Hello In There

  We headed towards Iowa after a big breakfast with the Peoria Prine Shriners, It was great to meet so many Prine people at another excellent JP concert. The sky swelled as we headed to our second Prine Show in as many days.

Elvrybody's

  The webmister Terry and I were on our way to Cedar Rapids, just a short drive from our home, Prine music was blaring on the player and have you ever noticed on  "Everybody" that it sounds like - "Elvrybody"... sort of like mixing Elvis and Body together to come out with this word. Try it, it ain't eas . 

  The sky got fat and burst into a tympani concert nearly drowning out Prine. I wondered if John was on the road soaking up the afternoon downpour with us.  

  Traffic slowed way down and driving was cone by memory at this point. I wondered if me seeing Prine in Iowa was just supposed to always be a test. I definitely didn't want to go through any stupid human tricks for this one. 

  Safely arriving at the hotel top floor we poked around  our fancy schmancy digs that was at the end of the hall lined with suites. I am anxious and beside myself... This whole thing has been just too lucky, I knew that some big heavy boot was about to fall. Front row tickets, nice hotel room, we made it alive in that dripping drum roll ....

  We connected with that other wild Iowa woman Patti and her family for a great visit - had dinner and a few cold ones in anticipation of tonight's concert.
