It's break time from about 8:40 until 9pm to empty bladders, fill them back up and stare through the crowd and think to myself- Wow, they all know the answer to "John who?".

Most everyone at this full house concert is in their seats by 8:55 - fidgeting and hoping that Prine is ready. The house lights flicker down, cheers and ovations begin:

John ended it with "We're going to play some happy, some sad, some new, and some old favorites.and a couple you don't like" The crowd giggles, what Prine song is there that isn't liked?
He followed up with:

4. Souvenirs - a song that he has always dedicates to his close friend Steve Goodman, John stated, "Steve had a way of pickin' that made me sound like I was playing the good parts"

He mentioned that he had just gotten back from fishing with his brothers and friends. His brother had never caught a fish. John told him "Your're gonna catch the biggest fish today because this river loooooves virgins" and with a twinkle in his eye he tells us "I'll bet he's at home right now looking through the Sears catalogue and picking out fishing rods."
