Man, that was the best Prine concert I've ever seen! I really like the acoustic set. He seemed to be having an especially good time in Cincy, maybe because I could see him so well sitting 6th row and center. As for his political comments. I can handle someone saying they don't agree with his views, but anyone who follows Prine knows what he's been saying for about a year now. When someone says Prine has no right to express his
political beliefs when I've bought I ticket to see the concert, I have to laugh. What an
arrogant statement! It also smacks of facism, actually. Everyone has the right to free speech in this country. If you don't like what's on TV, change the channel. Everyone knows where John stands politically. If it bothers you that much, don't go to the show. To say he has no right to express his views at his shows is simply unAmerican. Didn't they say the same about the Beatles in the 60's. People who want a disingenuous musician who doesn't reflect his/her views should stick to Jessica Simpson. That was a great Prine concert! Fair and Square!

What a great night of entertainment! Opening with Leon Redbone and
then all of my favorite old Prine songs mixed in with the new. It had been
a few years since we saw John perform at the Murat in Indy and my husband
told me that John wouldn't have time for all of my old favorites, however
when the second song was Your Flag Decal Won't Get You Into Heaven
Anymore, I knew he was wrong. We heard all our favorites and the new Fair
& Square songs just added to a great time. It was our Son's wedding
day and I had 3 hours to make it from Bedford, Indiana to Cincinnati and
with my son's understanding of why I had to dash out after the kisssing of
the bride ( he has been listening to John Prine his entire lifetime) he
knew that it was a tough decision for his mother to make... John Prine
concert / Braden's wedding day... He assured us that it was okay to buy
the tickets months in advance. So not only did I get the wedding but the
best Prine concert that I have seen in years, John was great, putting the
crowd in a sing a-long festive mood! I think that John is in his prime as
far as his talent and sounds. In Spite of Ourselves was great but Fair
& Square is outstanding, makes me crazy as a loon. I actually saw
tears in my husbands eyes a few times. Thanks for a wonderful evening, the
ending of a beautiful day. John Prine is awesome.

First John Prine concert attended ,hope to see more ! Bought four tickets
,the wife and our youngest son and girlfriend. (21) Wasn't really sure
what to expect, but it didn't take long to find out. There were all walks
of life ,from old hippies to young yuppies and everything in between. The
setting was like having John in your living room . You felt like part of
the show. And for anyone who is thinking about seeing a Prine show ,but
not sure it would be your cup of tea. Do yourself a favor , It will rank
up there with any concert you've seen . And you'll enjoy the showmanship
and music from a legend and class act. Oh by the way, the son and
girlfriend said it was one of the best shows they seen. (not bad review
from two college students who just heard of Prine a year ago.)
