The Telluride show was incredible. He played for about 2 1/2 hours, one of his encores was a duet with his wife and he finished with my
favorite, Paradise. The venue only sat about 150 people and everyone was focused on
him. It was a very appreciative audience which made the show so much
better. The show was sold out and lots of people were looking for tickets.

I was a little skeptical back in march when the Calvin Theater box office
told me they had front row seats available, but, sure enough, that's where
I sat this past Saturday night. I've seen John 5 or 6 times before, and
every one is better than the last, but it was extra special to be that
close to a guy I've listened to for 20 years. Heather Eatman opened the
show. I was not familiar with her music, but she was great. She was so
obviously thrilled to be playing with John, she couldn't get the smile off
her face. She played around 6 songs, and then it was time for John.
One of my favorite things about seeing him in concert, is the
un-abashed love that his fans show. They are THRILLED to be there. Several
times after applause John would say thank you, and, invariably, someone
would yell "thank YOU"...just a great place to be. John's voice
sounded much better than I expected. He was pretty froggy when he spoke,
but sang very clear. I don't have the set list, but it was very similar to
those I've read recently. I was disappointed that he did not do Mexican
Home. Jason Wilbur and David Jacques were fantastic, with a great
understanding of john's music...John was a little subdued, understandably,
but got a little more talkative as the evening went on...he had a good
time with a fan that, believe it or not, spend most of the show fast
asleep (passed out?) in his front row seat...as I said, I enjoy each time
more than the last, and hope for the opportunity to see a lot more...my 8
year old daughter wasn't quite ready to make the 3 hr drive and late
concert yet, but we'll hope for the next one

Good concert, but I thought the acoustics weren't great when the whole
group played. And we really wanted to hear "Flag Decal" because,
John, Jesus still don't like killing, not mater what the killin's for.

I first saw John on television. He was playing the White House with Johnny Cash. He was singing "Paradise". I told my brother- in law Randy Alto about this fantastic bluegrass singer. He told me who it was. I have been hooked ever
since.
JP does not play the northeast very much, much to our dismay, so when we found two concerts so close we had to do them both. Both concerts were fabulous. He sang alot of old songs, which was great.
I wish he would have played longer , but I'm selfish.
I introduced my son to JP at an early age, about10 or so. He is a
JP fan to this day . He is now 26 . I could go on and on but everyone knows what
I'm saying. He is the only singer that sings about life the way we live it.
